Our mobility to Valdobbiadene

On the 4th of June 2014 we, 7 pupils from the 10th grade of the RGL and two teachers, travelled to Valdobbiadene, a city in the North of Italy. We went there on the occasion of the 100 year commemoration of the 1st World War to prepare an exhibition together with some students of the ISISS “Giuseppe Verdi” school.

On the evening of our arrival we presented the findings of the Comenius project.

The plan for the next day was a four hour hiking tour on the Monte Grappa where we visited a museum, a memorial and trenches from the war.

On Friday we worked on our exhibition which was opened in the evening. Besides we watched a theatre performance about a man who became insane because of the horrors of the 1st World War. In the evening all the students went to a restaurant together and had a pizza. Afterwards we went to a festival called “Notte Bianche”. On our last day which was at the same time the last day before the summer holidays for the Italian students, we listened to a concert together where some Italian pupils were singing. Then we had to go back home again, unfortunately.

Finally we would like to express again our thanks to our host families for their hospitality.

Mille grazie!
